Why We Love 56 Deli

We discovered 56 Deli shortly after we moved to Whitesboro, which means we’ve been enjoying their delicious sandwiches for about a year now.

Everyone who works there is a “salt of the earth” kind of person, and they treat you like family as soon as you walk through the door. You’ll be greeted with a friendly, familiar face each time you return. By the second time I visited, they were asking me about our recent move and how I liked Whitesboro so far, which made me feel so welcomed!

56 Deli offers freshly sliced deli meats and cheeses, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Their menu includes “build your own” sandwiches, wraps, or salads as well as specialty sandwiches like the Pansy’s Chicken Salad, the Reuben, or the Homemade Jalapeno Pimento Cheese – there’s something for everyone! They even offer “take and bake” meals as well as delicious weekly specials like meatloaf, deviled eggs, and banana pudding.

If you ask us, 56 Deli is the best “hole in the wall” sandwich shop around!

Tips for First-Time Visitors

One of my patients told me about this secret – if you visit 56 Deli, you must get the Charley’s Special. It’s not on the menu, but everyone there knows exactly what it is and how to make it. You won’t be disappointed! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it as I write this “Love Local” article.
