Madison Lyde
Hearing Aid Technician
Madison grew up in Houston, TX. She attended Baylor University for her bachelor of science in communication disorders, and she is currently studying at the University of North Texas for her doctorate in audiology.
When Madison was in high school, she took American Sign Language. This class introduced her to the field of speech-language pathology. While working toward her bachelor’s degree in speech pathology, she discovered audiology and decided to pursue her doctorate and become the first doctor in her family.
Madison’s workday at Denton Hearing Health Care consists of various responsibilities. She makes sure the audio booths are ready for the first patients of the day. She also checks that all hearing aids are prepared for hearing aid appointments. Additionally, Madison sees patients who are experiencing difficulties with their hearing aids or just need a quick cleaning. Other tasks include making sure all of the equipment is fully stocked and occasionally answering the phones.
Madison works with patients who are experiencing difficulty with their hearing aids via walk-in or scheduled technician visits. She can repair hearing aids from any of the top six hearing aid manufacturers: Phonak, Oticon, Widex, Starkey, Signia, and ReSound.
Her favorite part of working at Denton Hearing Health Care is working alongside a team of strong and supportive women. The team has motivated her from the beginning of her graduate school journey to the very end. The most rewarding part of Madison’s job, however, is hearing patients exclaim that they can hear again.
In her free time, Madison enjoys thrifting or browsing Facebook Marketplace.
